Business impact analysis - set up  

 

 Accessing the Business Impact Analysis set up screen. 

Clicking the BIA icon anywhere in the system will display one of two screens that both contain the "BIA set up button" in the top left hand corner.  

 

Clicking the BIA set up button will produce the following warning message. The purpose of this message is to warn about the system-wide nature of all setting in the business impact screen and that any changes will affect any existing BIA calculations.



Click continue to open the Business Impact Analysis set up screen. This screen appears as follows:



Tasks that can be carried out in the Business Impact Analysis set up screen are covered in sub-topics in this section. The headings are:

  • Setting impact categories
  • Setting BIA time periods
  • Set up basis for RTO and MTPD calculations
  • System-wide criticality settings
